“Florie was recommended to me as someone who would be good in helping to develop technical skills on the violin. I am currently working through the Suzuki program with Florie as an adult student, and she is an incredibly gifted musician, instructor, and problem solver. I can’t say enough about her skill and support as a teacher, and how much I value the opportunity to work with her!”

“Sequoia (and I) have only the most glowing things to say about your teaching! In particular, your positivity and unending patience, along with your willingness and capacity to find multiple alternative ways to instruct musical concepts have made us devoted fans. We’re extremely grateful that she has the opportunity to study with you. :)”

Note: I  got this great email from the mother of a former student.  I love hearing positive things from my students and parents – it’s always a day-brightener!  I want to share these successes with you]

“My daughter began taking violin lessons with Florie at the age of 5. At that time, she was quite shy and Florie was great at creating a  comfortable atmosphere allowing her to have fun while she learned to play. Over the years, as my daughter’s interests changed, Florie accommodated her with different styles of teaching and music– including fiddling and shared lessons with her best friend. I am happy to say that at the age of 15, my daughter is still enjoying playing the violin (including playing in the California Honors orchestra)  and I attribute much of that to Florie’s engaging approach to teaching.” — J.R.
